Podemos usar simplemente el comando iconv (ver su página man).

Ejemplos

  • Convertir de ISO-8859-15 (el europeo con €) a UTF-8

iconv -f ISO-8859-15 -t utf8 cuestionario.txt >cuestionario.utf8.txt

  • Convertir de UTF8 a ISO-8859-15

iconv -f utf8 -t ISO-8859-15 cuestionarioEF.gift >cuestionarioEF.iso8859.gift
